This 13,000 SF facility will primarily house the fire station with a small office area allocated for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. It is only the second station in the county to be staffed by career staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The 3.6 acre site, located within the Moorefield planned community, was proffered to the County as part of Moorefield Station - a multi-use, high-density housing development which is currently under construction. The new station is also located near where the final stop of the Metrorail extension into Loudoun County is planned.
Moorefield Public Safety Center includes three apparatus bays, bunkrooms, kitchen and dining areas, decontamination and laundry facilities, exercise room, an on-site air compressor for breathing apparatus, office workspaces and a repair shop.
