Glenmont Fire Station No. 18 is a four bay drive through fire station developed in response to roadwork that would demolish the existing station. The design team worked closely with MDOT to coordinate site access, both during construction as well as for the final design of Georgia Avenue, integrating traffic signals and other features. The design team met with the community to discuss approach to architectural aesthetics which resulted in a station that fits within the neighborhood.
