Sherwood Cultural Community Center

This Community Center is designed to serve as the crossroads of cultural life for the City of Fairfax by providing a Performing Arts Hall, Art Studios and Multipurpose Rooms. The Center, which faces Van Dyck Park, is centrally located with excellent pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular access.

The classic detailing, proportions and materials found on the exterior blend harmoniously with the historical context of the City of Fairfax and the adjacent Police Headquarters Facility.  The Performing Arts and Meeting Hall is designed for concerts, recitals, and social events with a host of specialized features which support each venue in a flexible manner. This 5,000 SF hall is designed with ready access to storage to enhance rapid configuration changes.  The room is easily divisible in half with a moveable wall and equipped with lighting and acoustic systems which can adjust to any room configuration.
