Hughes Group’s design of the building complements the historic Woodrow Wilson High School and the surrounding residential neighborhood. The aquatic program responds to the needs of community users as well as high school competition. Despite the limited and historically sensitive site conditions, the Wilson Aquatic Center offers residents a full spectrum aquatic venue with a 50 M competition pool, leisure pool with zero depth entry, interactive water features and administrative areas. The project is LEED Silver Certified.
